Most builds take 1–4 weeks from kickoff, depending on the package and how quickly you can get us content. A simple 5‑page website can launch in 7 days if you're organised; a full Biz‑in‑a‑Box brand and shop usually lands around 3–4 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start, and we don't take on more than we can deliver.

You do. 100%. The domain is in your name, the hosting is in your account, the source files are yours. We hand over login details, training, and a guide on day one of your project going live. Everything is built so you could walk away with it tomorrow if you wanted to. We just don't think you'll want to.

The package price is the build price. What's not included (because it's not ours to charge for): your domain registration, your hosting, and any third‑party tools you choose like Shopify or PayFast transaction fees. These costs are usually small but they're paid directly to those providers, not to us. Before you commit, we'll give you a full cost breakdown so you know exactly what you'll pay upfront and what you'll pay each month afterwards.

That's literally what Biz‑in‑a‑Box is for. We'll design your brand from scratch (logo, colours, fonts), help you write or polish your website copy, and give you guidance on photos. We can also connect you with trusted SA photographers if you need shots taken. You don't need to have it all figured out before you contact us. Most clients don't.

You don't need one. Every project ends with a proper training walkthrough plus written guides, so you can confidently update your own site, swap copy, add a product. But we also know you'd rather spend that time doing what you actually do best, whether that's making, consulting, baking, designing. That's what Care Plans are for: we keep an eye on the technical bits and handle small changes, so you don't have to think about it.

Yes, with two layers. Every site we build comes with the SEO basics done properly out of the box: clean code, fast load times, a sitemap, schema markup, and Google Business Profile setup. That's a solid foundation that a lot of bigger sites still get wrong.

For ongoing SEO, our Grow Care Plan adds keyword research and one SEO‑optimised blog post per month, written and published for you, with social copy alongside. It's a sustainable rhythm for a small business that wants to grow without paying agency retainers.

If you need deeper, more aggressive SEO work (backlink building, technical audits, competitor analysis), that's a different kind of engagement and not really our specialty. We know people who do it well and we're happy to refer you.

We work remotely with clients across South Africa, and we've done projects with founders abroad too. The whole process happens over email and Google Meet calls. Being based in Hermanus doesn't limit who we work with. It just means we get to hear the ocean while we work.

One note for international clients: our pricing is built around what's fair for South African small businesses. If you're earning in pounds, dollars, or euros, the value you'd be getting is wildly disproportionate to the price. We adjust international quotes to reflect that, so it's a fair trade on both sides. Get in touch and we'll talk through what makes sense.

Build projects work on a 50% deposit / 50% on launch split, payable by Yoco card or EFT. If that's tight on cashflow, just say so. We've split projects into 3, 4, or 5 smaller monthly amounts before, and we're happy to do it again. The work paces with the payments, and the site goes live once everything's settled.

Care Plans are normally billed quarterly. Good to know: you'll get a 20% discount if you pay annually upfront.
